There are currently 1.5 million businesses using Pinterest each month to “share their products and get their ideas out into the world,” and find new customers; and Pinterest wants them to have the right tools to help them. That’s why it introduced Promoted Pins and made it really easy for businesses to set them up in under 10 seconds, with the new “Promote” button on Pins. If you’re short on time, Pinterest wants to make sure you can be effective – fast.
The “Promote” button was only available to advertisers in the United States, but now Pinterest is bringing the feature to five new markets in the next few weeks: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK. Pinterest has also “made it easier to track Pin performance so businesses can see how Pinners engage with their content.” Each Pin now offers need-to-know metrics for this purpose.
For businesses who want more, Pinterest has offered its Propel program for the last year. The program, designed to offer one-on-one support to help businesses get the most out of their time and marketing budget is available to brands and agencies in the US and Canada for the time being. Pinterest Propel has helped many companies so far, allowing them to get “up to 3x more clicks on their ads than businesses not in the program.” Businesses using the service have also seen “up to 15% lower costs per click in the first ninety days” using it.
